Technorati's Top 100 Blogs: A Quick Look

This post was originally published in my other blog in December of last year. Since then, there had been changes with that site's general direction, prompting me to move much of the original content over to this blog right here.

I thought I'd put together the Technorati's Top 100 Blogs in one post. When you're in the business of blogging and media, it's interesting to note that somehow, these blogs are actually doing so much better than most of the more established traditional media outfits out there.

Technorati is an internet search engine for searching blogs, and in a way competes with Google and Yahoo. As of June 2008, Technorati has indexed some 112.8 million blogs and over 250 million pieces of tagged social media.

In fact, traditional media outfits like CNN, The New York Times, and magazines like Wired all have blogs within the top 100 as well.

I was hoping to do some more studies and gain more insight after compiling all 100 of them.

So without further ado, here's a quick look at Technorati's Top 100 Blogs, ranked by authority, as of 14 November 2008:

12. Mashable | All That's New on the Web. Mashable is a leading tech blog focused on Web 2.0 and Social Networking news.
13. Gawker, Manhattan Media News and Gossip
